Kathryn Golightly

Kathy Golightly, EES Principal, is in her third year of her principalship at Emmitsburg Elementary.  She comes to Emmitsburg after seven years as an Assistant Principal at Ballenger Creek, Hillcrest, and North Frederick.  Before becoming an Assistant Principal, Kathy was a Reading Specialist at Waverley and taught grades 2, 3, & 5 at North Frederick.  Ms Golightly loves interacting with children and believes that she has the best job ever!  Kathy is very proud of her daughter, Allyson, who is a college student studying to be an elementary school teacher.  Playing softball, using the computer, and reading are activities that Ms Golightly participates in when not at school.
